Liposuction can be applied to anyone who does not have a systemic disease, who is not pregnant or has just given birth. Before applying to people with chronic diseases such as heart disease and diabetes, detailed examinations are performed. Liposuction is a procedure that can be performed on any individual who does not have any health problems and is not pregnant. In patients with diseases such as heart, blood pressure and diabetes, necessary tests should be done before the application and necessary precautions should be taken in case of a risky situation.
How is Liposuction Surgery Performed?
The operation is performed in the operating room environment under hospital conditions with local anesthesia or intravenous anesthesia. Depending on the place where the examination will be made, the vacuum process takes an average of 1 to 4 hours. A special liquid is injected into the lubricated area and inflated, and several incisions are made near this area. Metal pipes connected to the special vacuum device are placed through these incisions and the vacuum oil pushing process begins. This process continues until a smooth skin surface is formed on the body.
What is the Post-Liposuction Process?
After the operation, the patient's pain and pain sensation is very low, and these pains can be prevented with the support of painkillers. It is recommended to wear a corset suitable for the vacuum applied area, and it is important that the corset wear time is regular for 5-6 weeks. In addition, bruising, burning sensation and swelling may be seen in the vacuum applied areas, but these decrease within a few weeks, and the scars formed during the surgery begin to disappear in an average of 4-6 months. If there is nothing in the general condition of the patient between 1 and 3 weeks, he can return to business life.
Use of Corset After Liposuction
In order to get effective results from the liposuction application, it is necessary to use a corset for about 3 weeks. After the subcutaneous fat is removed, a gap is formed in the application area. This gap is closed with regular use of corsets. During this process, you can take a bath every day if you wish. Only the time to take off the corset and wear it should not exceed 15 minutes.
